I've set up the trial for testing and have a few questions.

1. I want to be able to configure flat rate shipping based on where the item is being shipped (not weight or cart value) - U.S. And Canada $X, "rest of the world" $Y. I don't see a way of doing this.

2. I also want to limit purchasing to a specific role. The store will sell items that should only be available to 'Club members' - again I don't see a way of doing this.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Hi Dave,

1) You would set up a single band for each country you would like to ship to with the lower band limit of "0" and the upper band limit of 999999 and define the price for shipping.

2) We don't have a specific feature to achieve this however when you add a category you can define a DNN role that a user will have to be in to view the category and products within the
category so you could apply a DNN role here.

Or via the cart viper catalogue module you can define that "prices / checkout are hidden for anonymous users" i.e. users that are not logged into the site.

Thanks
Nigel.

Thanks for the response Nigel.

Adding shipping rates for all other countries outside the U.S. and Canada would be a lot of work. 190+ entries?

I'll investigate the category options as you suggest. The non-authorized route wouldn't work in our case as we can have members of our site - to access facilities such as a forum for instance - who are not actually members of the club itself.

Thanks again

 Dave

Hi,

We do have a feature on our road map where you would set a ROW (rest of world) band and then for any countries that do not have a band explicitly defined it would fall back to use the ROW band. If you wanted you could look to sponsor this feature to speed up its development time, you can email me at nigel@cartviper.com to discuss this further.

Thanks
Nigel.
