Hi there,

The Cart Viper search facility on my DNN site isn't picking up new products. The site is:

http://www.metropolitangifts.co.uk/en-us/shoponlinenow.aspx

One of the recent products which isnt getting found is:

http://www.metropolitangifts.co.uk/ShopOnline/tabid/2359/c/home-furnishings/p/full-moon-glass-picture/PageIndex/9/language/en-US/Default.aspx

I have checked the DNN scheduler which has the search indexing set to every 30 minutes and have manually re-indexed the site but this hasn't helped.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Jackie

Hi,

Would it be possible to email me an admin username and password so I can have a look in the store admin? nigel@cartviper.com

Thanks
Nigel.

Hello, I am new to the CV community and Forums, having taken over from a developer who left our company.  I am having the same search problem - on new products I imported recently.  Interestingly, on our test server, the search DOES work on the new products....but not on our live server. Can you tell me what the resolution was to Jackie's problem? Thanks very much! Tracy

Hi,

The search index was not getting created correctly, if you goto the store admin -> product admin menu and click "re-index" do you get the confirmation that the index has been rebuilt? If not can you check in admin -> event viewer and see if there are any errors relating to building the search?

Thanks
Nigel.

Thanks, Nigel! I had tried re-indexing a few days ago, via StoreAdmin > List Products (we are running an older version, not ready to update yet). It ran for a loooong time, and maybe it didn't work properly.  So just now, I ran it again, it finished in a few seconds, said "Reindex Complete!" and yes, the search is working!   Thanks very much! Tracy
