I am stuck. So I have installed the event module, license and went into settings to customize. I see that when I enter an event it appears as a product on my catalog page with the products I have already created. Am I suppose to create a separate catalog page for the events? Also, I thought once you clicked on the event it would act as part of the cart module since it ask for price etc. When I click I just get a popup window with title, date and time and nothing else. I thought clicking would direct you to a page where you can add it to the cart. When you hover over the title in the calendar it gives you a little more info. Thanks!

Hi,

You can make a separate catalog module and just limit it to show the events if you wish but it is not mandatory. Events can be added to the cart along with standard products so they can be bought online, however you can only purchase events that are in the future. There is also a flag "users cant sign up to this event" , can you check this is not selected also have you entered a positive number for the "number of spaces available"?

If the above does not help can you send me an admin username / password along with the URL to the event in question and I will take a look? nigel@cartviper.com

Thanks
Nigel.

So, from the calendar you can click on the event and it should open a page where you can purchase the event? I am asking because that is not what is happening. I get a screen that says:

Reiki I Training
Event Start Date: 4/12/2014
Event End Date: 4/12/2014
EVENTSUMMARY

I did put 10 as the number of spaces. I asked about creating a separate catalog page because when I enter the product details to be the page where I have the catalog module it alters the view of that page to show only the product details of the single item I have entered in the event to test. The 6 items I entered in catalog page to test are not there.

Hi,

Clicking on the event in the calendar should show a modal popup that contains a link to a page you can ultimately book the event on. The token [EVENTSUMMARY] is not supported in the modal template, try [EVENTDESCRIPTION] instead.

In the product edit field leave the "product details page" blank for all your events and products, you would only use this feature if you created a DNN page for EVERY product / event so each had its own page.

If your in doubt send me an admin account and I will take a look.

Thanks
Nigel.
