Hi!!

I need to list sub categories I created in Cart Viper. Is it possible to list them in following layout

                                                  Parent Category Name
Sub Category Image   Sub Category Image   Sub Category Image     Sub Category Image
Sub Category Name    Sub Category Name    Sub Category Name    Sub Category Name

I hope you understand the sketch. I am really stuck here. Please help me out here

Thanks

Hi,

We should have inbuilt tokens

[CATEGORYTITLE]
[SUBCATEGORYIMAGES]

To create that layout, if you modify CategoryContainer.htm template as per the screen shot it should give you the basis for the layout you want. You could then modify the CSS as per your needs:

I am wonder will this effect all the place where category are used?
What I need to do is just this one time on HOMEPAGE.
I have Two rows on HOMEPAGE- one containing Subcategories of one Category -  second containing Subcategories of second Category. Both rows will have layout I mentioned earlier.

Above them is the row containing Three Featured Products for which I used CART VIPER PRODUCT WIDGET. It had the option to create new template for that.(its done). I am wondering is it possible to do something like that for above Category rows.
Please see the Mockup of what i want to achieve (for categories)

Thanks

Hi

I think since you want to only show this output on the homepage and you want to include the sub-categories of two categories you need to use a custom Razor script to do it.
Using a Razor script gives you a lot of power and control over what gets outputted to the screen.

Regards

Mark

I am new to all this, Its just my first week with DNN and Cart Viper. I have a slight idea of using Razor template. But I am not sure.
Can you please give me some direction of how to do it like where to put the script? and Where to call it from.
I'd really appreciate that.

Thanks
