Hello,

I have added modules to the tab for a product which are shown on a different page. However the module has page specific settings which are not reflected when it is shown in the tab (it appears to use the settings of the first page it is used on). When I try to access the module settings from the page with the tab I get a blank settings window.

Is there a way of specifying the specific page to use for the settings when including the module e.g. by giving the TabID of the page or the ModuleTabID of the specific instance of the module I want to display? Alternatively is there a way to make the settings work on the page where the module is included (within the Cart Viper tab)?

I would appreciate any suggestions or workarounds that you can think of.

Thank you.

Greg

Hey Greg

This is an interesting one, the settings for the module aren't getting set correctly. At a guess it will be TabModuleId getting set wrongly.

Out of interest which module are you using in the tab? Is it one of the standard DNN modules?

Could you leave the problem with us and we'll attempt to replicate and see if we can come up with a work around.

Regards

Mark

Hello,

The module is a Form and List module which is shared amongst a few pages each with a different filter. The idea is that new items can be added in one place and then shown in all the relevant places including the Cart Viper tabs. Unfortunately when the module is included in the Cart Viper tab it always has the settings of the first page the module is on and there appears to be no way to specify the page I want or specify separate settings for the Cart Viper tab.

Hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you require any further details.

Thanks.

Hey Greg

I've found the issue, as you say we need to optionally allow an additional parameter of the TabId so that we can load the correct the TabModuleSettings.

The fix has been coded up and will be in the next release of Cart Viper 3.0 which we are planning to release in 7 days.

Thank you for letting us know about the issue in the first instance.

Regards

Mark
