Hi,

Just trying to set up and configure cart viper for the first time on my local pc and all's working very well, except for one thing.  After I add a new product, hit update and then go to the categories tab, the categories I check to include are not updated.  I've also tried hitting the update link at the bottom of the screen but when I go back to that categories tab, the categories are all unchecked again.  I've tried this in both ie and firefox browser, but it didn't make a difference.  What am I doing wrong??

Thanks heaps in advance.

Kev

Hi Kev,

The issue sounds javascript related, would it be possible to put the site on a public facing server so we could see the issue?
Failing that can you install Firebug, its a free add on to Firefox.
https://getfirebug.com/
Once installed can you then try and assign a category and check the error console to see if  you get any javascript errors on the page and if so can you let us know what they are?

If that does not show anything can you go to XHR menu in firebug as per below screen, try assigning a category and looking at the requests that is captures (as per below) and send a screen shot of them?

I can second his claim.  I occasionally have the same issue and will try to reproduce and provide a Fiddler capture.

Hi

Yes if you could get a fiddler capture that would help us to try down the issue.

Regards

Mark
Here is a fiddler capture of me adding the product to a group, then leaving the product's page, returning and looking a the groups tab.  I am on the edge of purchasing your cart (it is the most flexible I have found for the price), however this could be a non-starter

I am using DotNetNuke 7 through WebMatrix. Also, I am using 1 level of group nesting (which appears to be related to the issue). The facets are assigned to both the parent and child groups. Side note: this may be related to the facet issue I mentioned before. All of these calls resulted in a 200.

For a full capture (to include the responses to the referenced requests) let me know where you would like me to send the actual Fiddler captures.
