Is it possible with the current build of CartViper to have product variants that would result in different download files being related to them?  For example:

Product Name

CD (physical product being sent out)

ALAC (.alac related files added to customer's download area)

FLAC (flac related files added to customer's download area)

WAV (wav related files added to customer's download area)

If it's not currently possible, but could be done through some sort of work-around, that would be useful to know.

Many thanks

Mark

Hi Mark,

No we dont support that feature, the only real workaround would be to make each variant option as a separate product so you can define the correct downloads.

Nigel.

Hi Mark

If you have a budget for that feature we can develop it for you? Cart Viper can pretty much do anything you need with some customization.

Regards

Mark

Hi Mark

Could you please give me a quote for this feature to be implemented?  Nigel has my email address.

Many thanks

Further to the above, is it possible to structure a product in such a way so that the 'base product' shown on the product listing page is effectively a 'dummy' product with all the variants below this?  For example:

Cape Town Experience (base product, no add to basket capability).  A user would click on this to get all variants through a drop-down on the details page, these variants would be something like:

> CD
> .mp3
> .alac
>> 16-bit 44.1KHz (CD Quality)
>> 24-bit 96KHz (Studio Master Quality)
>> 24-bit 192KHz (Studio Master Quality)
> .flac
>> 16-bit 44.1KHz (CD Quality)
>> 24-bit 96KHz (Studio Master Quality)
>> 24-bit 192KHz (Studio Master Quality)
> .wav
>> 16-bit 44.1KHz (CD Quality)
>> 24-bit 96KHz (Studio Master Quality)
>> 24-bit 192KHz (Studio Master Quality)

Not sure whether this is possible with the current build, as far as I can see you have to have a 'base' product with a specific price before you can add any variants to it?

Many thanks!
