I know it used to be an option to setup custom smtp server information on a per store instance.  I'm new to cart viper, but tried following the instructions and still the store is using the host smtp information.  Was the custom SMTP option removed or am i using it wrong? I thought I was using it correctly as per the instructions on Page 31/32 Version 3.2.1 of the manual.

I have a file called "smtp_portal33.config" (the portalID is 33) located in the "......\DesktopModules\CartViper\" directoryand in that file is the following text:

    <configuration>
        <configSections>
            <section name="smtpSettings" type="CartViper.Modules.Store.Components.SmtpSettings, CartViper.Modules.Store"/>
        </configSections>
    <smtpSettings hostName="mail.YYYYYYYYYYYY.com" port="587" username="ChrisW@YYYYYYYYYY.com" password="XXXXXXXXXXXXX" enableSsl="false"/>
    </configuration>
 

 Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

The feature is still supported, however we had changed the namespace of our SMTP settings and forgotten to update the user guide. So if you use the below it should work:

    <configuration>
        <configSections>
            <section name="smtpSettings" type="CartViper.Modules.Store.Components.Smtp.SmtpSettings, CartViper.Modules.Store"/>               
</configSections>
 <smtpSettings hostName="mail.YYYYYYYYYYYY.com" port="587" username="ChrisW@YYYYYYYYYY.com" password="XXXXXXXXXXXXX" enableSsl="false"/>
</configuration>
