Nigel,
I have a few more questions on customizing the cart and checkout pages.
1) When I click on “view my cart” dialog at the bottom of the mini cart summary, it takes me to the Store Admin page (I’m logged in as Admin) and not to the “My Account / Cart” page. I assume this is not the expected behavior.
2) Can we suppress the coupon code dialogs and the discount line? How?
3) In “My Account / Cart” page; at the shipping estimate line, there is a “?” when moused over produces a pop-up. Can we edit the text in the pop-up? How?
4) Can text be added above the “proceed to checkout” button? How?
      My client would like to add this statement;
“In order to provide you with the best service, pricing and security we manually process all orders. We will contact you to confirm the order total, including shipping and tax (if applicable). At that time you can provide payment information. All orders must be paid in full prior to shipping.”
5)  Can the text “Place order into quote moderation queue” be altered to something like “Place order in processing queue”? I suspect that US customers may be somewhat confused by your terminology.
6) Right now, under shipping, there is a dropdown menu with one choice (Standard) available. Can we suppress that menu.

Thanks for your time

Hi,

1) In the store admin -> store info we have a setting "my account page" is this set to the page with the Cart viper my account module on it?

2) We dont have a setting for this but you could modify the below control:

DesktopModules\cartviper\cartdetail.ascx

Add in divs with display = none around the elements you want to hide:
e.g.
<div style="display:none">coupon elements here </div>

3) Yes you can modify this text it is stored in the below resource file:
DesktopModules\cartviper\App_LocalResources\cartdetail.ascx.resx
Before you change the text I would recommend reading the below blog post on changing resource files:
http://blog.cartviper.com/post/2011/0...

4) No setting for this but you would need to modify:
DesktopModules\cartviper\customerCart.ascx

5) I am not sure where this text is, can you provide a screen shot?

6) Is this during the checkout process where the customer selects their shipping option? No we cant suppress this as we need them to select which option they want.

Thanks
Nigel.

Nigel,

Sorry, I've been ill, I'm just getting back to this project.

1) It's a bit different than you describe. --> store admin --> store info --> store settings --> Store Account --> My Account . The "Store Account" is a bit counter intuitive. the help box calls it the store account module when "My Account" is what is required.

5) tried to paste a screnshot her w/o success. the dialogue is on the page before final checkout the choice is for when the order goes to what you call a "quote moderation queue"

6) My client insists that he wants to finalize shipping details when he responds to the request for quote. We would like to avoid any confusion about shipping. He doesn't want to offer any shipping options or pricing through the website. No transactions will be finalized through the site. All orders will be finalized via email, phone & fax. So, any reference to shipping is superfluous to this client and would be confusing to his customers.

1) I was referring to this setting - is this set to the page with the "cart viper my account" module:

5) Can you email me a screenshot - nigel@cartviper.com

6) Removing all reference to shipping is a huge job and not something you will be able todo by just editing templates and modifying ascx control - for example we will capture a shipping address during the checkout process and this will be displayed in the order PDF and the order details page.

Thanks
Nigel.
