Hi,
I just installed your trial version on DNN 6. Installation was smooth without any problem. Now I want to create a shop and I faced with some problem. PDF document provided with Demo version looks a bid obsolet regarding DNN 6. And the problem is that in Catalog module in "Catalog" tab all templates are absend.
I set check box "Postal templates" in "Store info" tab in "Store Admin" module and according to dicumentation:
...............................
" When the Portal Templates setting is checked, and the settings saved, the Cart Viper
Admin module performs a number of tests:
1. If the default portal folder (e.g.: ...\Portals\n\) does not contain a CartViper
subfolder, then this subfolder is created and the default template files are
copied into the \Templates subfolder (e.g.: ...\Portals\n\CartViper\Templates\).
2. If the \CartViper folder already exists, the templates are not copied to preserve
your existing templates.
..........................
But directory not created. I examine the portal folder and found only folder named Store->Templates with folowing list of files:

Template.css
TemplateDesign.css
AlsoBoughtProduct.htm
AlsoBoughtProduct_Small.htm
Catalog.htm
CategoryContainer.htm
FeaturedProduct.htm
FeaturedProduct_Small.htm
ListContainer.htm
NewProduct.htm
NewProduct_Small.htm
PopularProduct.htm
PopularProduct_Small.htm
ProductDetail.htm
ProductDetailFullInfo.htm
ProductList.htm
ProductListFullInfo.htm
SearchResultsList.htm

Could you tell me what is the problem ?

Hi,
Thanks for taking the time to install Cart Viper, would it be possible to provide us with the URL where the store is installed along with a host username and password so we can login and see the issue? If you prefer you could email them to me rather than post in a public forum:
nigel@cartviper.com

Best regards
Nigel.

Hi Nigel,

I installed DNN6 localy on my computer using Microsoft Web Matrix and install Car t Viper there to try it before moving to real hosting.
Is it necessary to use real hosting to figure out the problem i faced?

Regards,
Alex.

Hi Alex

No you can run Cart Viper in a private install like that just fine.

The issue is you don't have the portal templates folder created, not sure if this is something to do with using Web Matrix. Sounds like a permission issue.

We can easily fix the problem manually just to get you up and running.
In your portal home folder, /Portals/0 create a folder called CVStore, then just copy the folder /DesktopModules/CartViper/Templates into this newly created folder.

This is what the module does when you first check the Use Portal Templates in store admin.I've included a screen shot below which shows how the folder should look once you've copied the files.

Example of the folder

Let me know if this fixes your issue.

Regards

Mark

"
Store settings are not defined You can't use this module because the Store doesn't exist yet!
First define Store settings inside the Store Admin module.
